"Don't Forget Us, Too," They Whisper.

It's the fourth day of Eid. Somehow it occurred to me this morning, while we're celebrating, eating to our hearts' content, wasting so much jolly time laughing, hanging around, eating a little more delicious delicacies while wasting a bit more, do our hearts even care to remember the little kids in Somalia, who are slowly dying due to famine, starvation, with nothing around that's even consumable, while we are, at the same, the same second, enjoying a little bit too much over here. The little kids in Palestin, playing in the ruins of their own houses, while occasionally shaken by the deafening sound of bombs. The poor family in India, with no roof to shelter them from the glazing sun and cold rain.

Do we choose to remember, or do we choose to forget?
Happy Eid Mubarak.
