I have a feeling that it's gonna be a lengthy post. Mind you, summarizing a year in one blog post is no easy task. This feels odd, but it feels right. Somehow I just feel like writing tonight.

2015 is coming to an end soon. It's amazing how fast time seems to fly when you look at it retrospectively, but so slow and unmoving when you are in it experiencing the moment itself, as if each moment has its own eternity.

Regardless, 2015 has been a year of experience. As superficial and cliched as it may sound, I doubt I could summarize it any better in a short sentence. I met tons of new people, felt a whole new range of feelings, did things I never thought I ever would before.

I've graduated (finally), and left the place where I spent the best years of my life. But I learned that some friendships are truly for forever, untouched by the distance that separates the souls that have once found themselves entangled in the game of life, and I learned, too, that there are people who always would, unselfishly and genuinely so, wish the best for you in everything you do.

And in 2015, too, I fell in love, and fell out of it, a little too swiftly, a little too quickly that up to this day I still occasionally wonder if it did really happen at all. I'm not one to talk about my romantic relationships so candidly nor publicly, so truthfully this does feel a little awkward. But this person was someone I thought I was going to marry, which was a big deal because I've always found marriage as a truly alien topic to myself, somewhat almost taboo that my companions whom I had the privilege to know for a relatively longer time compared to most would know better than to even bring up the topic at the table. But things happened, and will happen still for as long as we live, and I learned to let go of what could've been, and unlove what was once deeply loved. To be fair, I truly do believe that it made me a better person, and hopefully a better lover still.

And now I am in persistent pursuit of my lifelong dream, that is to be the greatest lover of my truest love - numbers. The pieces of the awkwardly scattered puzzle are slowly finding its place, and I'm just the awestruck observer. Somehow over the years I learned that you could (and always should, mind you) try your hardest to be who you want to be and achieve everything you've ever dreamed of, but sometimes you just have to let life work its wonders and reveal its magic slowly. It's the best part of living, really.

Am I a happier person now? I can't say for sure, but I know I'd always be in this mad, relentless pursuit of happiness. Is life amazing? Not always, but I know that it's a gift, a truly special gift, and I don't intend to waste it.
